The Traveling Letter Exchange
During 2017 The Traveling Letter Exchange toured to 22 libraries around the North West of the UK. In each area it stopped people wrote letters to Jane to tell her about their lives in 2017. The Exchange was created by artist Laura Jamieson to celebrate the art of letter writing in the 200th anniversary year of Jane Austen’s death. This is the archive of over 800 letters collected.
The work was commissioned by the Time to Read partnership and funded by Arts Council England.
